Project Engineer

Job Duties

Manage full-cycle construction operations for city, county, and GDOT infrastructure projects valued at $20M+, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, budgeting support, and quality control. Supervise daily field operations and coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with project schedules, safety regulations, and engineering specifications. Review construction plans, drawings, and technical submittals using project management and documentation systems, and process RFIs, change orders, and as-built documentation. Utilize scheduling and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, and DOT documentation systems to track project progress, costs, and deliverables. Oversee utility relocations and coordinate with utility providers to prevent delays. Prepare daily reports, EC-1s, TC-1s, DBE reports, and other DOT documentation. Conduct site inspections, manage material deliveries, verify subcontractor quantities and vendor invoices, and facilitate coordination meetings with GDOT and county representatives to resolve field issues and maintain project schedules and budgets. Tools and Technologies required: Procore, Bluebeam Revu, HCSS, AutoCAD / Civil 3D, Survey equipment (Total Station and Dumpy Level), Trimble, Microsoft Office, On-Screen Takeoff Pro, Primavera (P6), MS Project.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience accepted.
